Join us for a conversation with Dalhousie President Deep Saini and special alumni guests Cindy Jensen (BComm'84), an Executive Coach and Founder of INPOWER ONE and Andrew Kam (BComm'84, MBA'85), advisor to AoYuan Group Chairman in Leisure/Tourism Industry.

The discussion will focus on how leveraging challenging situations can strengthen your approach to leadership with a future focus.

Special Guests

Cindy Jensen (BComm’84) is an Executive Coach and Founder of INPOWER ONE, a consulting firm with a focus on building organizational Leadership. She is also the co-founder of JT Coaching Certification, a company that offers ICF accredited coaching certification programs.

Cindy spent her corporate years working with PepsiCo Foods as part of the Senior Leadership Team working over a span of ten years in multiple functions. She later joined TELUS Mobility as National Account Manager overseeing the company’s two largest retail corporate accounts.

Cindy is a very active member of the community, she is a former Board Director for Educating Girls of Rural China (EGRC), a charity dedicated to helping young women from rural areas of Western China obtain an education. She is currently a Corporate Strategy Advisor for Business for a Better Society.

She is on the executive as an advisor for VIVA a professional women’s networking organization. Cindy also serves as a Board member on the DAA. She has her BComm from Dalhousie University, Canada, and an international EMBA from Rutgers University, USA.

Andrew Kam (BComm’84, MBA’85), advisor to AoYuan Group Chairman in Leisure/Tourism Industry. Kam is a strategic and empowering leader who has strong business acumen, operational experiences, cross-cultural skills, and proven performance track records at hospitality/entertainment, and property development companies in Mainland China and Hong Kong.

Currently, Andrew Kam is serving as an advisor to AoYuan Group Chairman in Leisure/Tourism Industry to assist with land acquisitions, design, build and management of leisure and recreational properties.

Previously, he served as president of the China Cultural Tourism Group where he was at that the helm of the company’s expansion into the development and management of theme park and leisure destinations across China and internationally.

Kam also served as senior vice president of Beijing Wanda Cultural Industry Group, where he oversaw Wanda’s theme park investments. This came after his role as executive vice president and managing director of Hong Kong Disneyland where he oversaw the transformation of the resort from its infancy to one of Asia’s premier destinations.
